This 50-year-old patient had previously undergone orthodontic treatment at another dental clinic; however, his front teeth remained gapped, and he had given up on further orthodontic treatment. After visiting our clinic, he chose resing treatment, which we offered as a solution.
Many patients visit our clinic to close the front teeth gap, with some believing that, according to physiognomy, having gapped front teeth can cause good luck to slip away.
Regardless of the reason, the good news is that resin treatment is usually completed in just one day! Patients can eat immediately after the procedure because the resin is cured with light and hardens right away. However, it is still important to be cautious when chewing.

Resin treatment, especially for filling gaps in the front teeth, is much more intricate than standard cavity treatment. Unlike regular fillings, the color must be perfectly matched so that it is not noticeable, requiring careful attention to shade and clarity. Additionally, the space must be managed precisely, including the contact area with adjacent teeth, and factors like smoothness and texture must also be taken into account. All these make it a more labor-intensive and challenging procedure compared to standard cavity treatments. Gap filling Resin Treatment Price (based on 2024).
1.Oral exam, including a panoramic x-ray, is covered by Korean National Health Insurance(KNHI) only if the patient is eligible. The examination is mandatory for all patients, and all treatments are carried out based on a dentist's diagnosis.
- General oral exam fee (including x-ray, for patients without KNHI): 20,000 KRW
2. ★Cost of Resin Treatment for Gapped Front Teeth★: 300,000 KRW per tooth
As mentioned in the earlier part of this post, the procedure requires advanced techniques and multiple shades of resin comparing with molar cavity filling (Molar cavity filling is cheaper than gap filling).
If the case is similar to the photo shown above (gapped front teeth in the center), the space is divided equally between the two teeth, with resin applied to each tooth. So, the cost for resin treatment for a gap between front teeth would be 300,000 KRW per tooth, totaling 600,000 KRW.
Resin treatment for gaps in front teeth requires significantly more time than standard cavity restin treatment. During the consultation we first take photos and review the images with the patient together, which also takes time. Therefore, please make sure to schedule an appointment in advance.
